Terms of service

The present Terms of Use (hereinafter “the Terms”) govern access to and use of the service offered by the platform Amadeus Arts Center (“the Platform”), which allows any person (“the Client”) to book and pay for music lessons provided by independent Collaborating teachers (“the Teacher(s)”). By booking or purchasing lessons through the Platform, the Client acknowledges having read and unreservedly accepted these Terms.

1. MONTHLY FEES

  • Fees are charged as a fixed monthly amount (every 4 weeks).
  • This amount is debited every 28 days, that is, every 4 weeks and not on the 1st of each calendar month.

    Payment terms:

Enrollment entitles the Client to a recurring weekly appointment (same day, same time, same teacher, except in special cases).

Monthly payments are automatically charged to a valid credit card every 28 days, that is, every 4 weeks and not on the 1st of each calendar month.
If the card is declined, you are responsible for updating your information. A late fee of $20 may be applied for any payment received more than 2 weeks late. If the invoice remains unpaid for more than 3 weeks, your time slot may be assigned to another client.

2. ATTENDANCE AND LATENESS

Lessons start and end at the scheduled time.
If the Client arrives late, the lesson time may be shortened, with no extension or credit.
If the Teacher is late, the Client will receive the full lesson time.

3. MISSED LESSONS AND MAKE‑UPS

3.1 Client absence

  • No refund or credit is granted for lessons missed by the Client, whether the absence is reported or not.
  • We do not reschedule missed lessons and do not credit them.

If you know you will be absent, please inform us as early as possible by email at: info@amadeusartscenter.com

3.2  Teacher absence or inability to teach

If your Teacher cannot attend the lesson in person, an online lesson will be offered at the same time. If you refuse the online option, the current no‑refund policy applies.

If your Teacher is unavailable for an online lesson, we may assign a substitute Teacher, sometimes at short notice. The usual cancellation policy also applies to substitute Teachers.

If no substitute or online lesson can be offered, a “Teacher‑absent lesson credit” will be added to your file for a make‑up session to be scheduled within the following month. This credit does not give rise to a cash refund and is not deducted from the monthly fee.

If your regular Teacher becomes unavailable for an extended period, a new Teacher will be proposed to you.

4. TERMINATION OF SUBSCRIPTION

To end your lessons, written notice is required at least 15 days before the billing date.

Verbal notice to the Teacher is not sufficient: the request must be sent to Amadeus Arts by email at: info@amadeusartscenter.com

If notice is not given at least 15 days before the billing date, an additional month of lessons may be charged after the date of notification. Exceptions may be considered upon presentation of medical documentation.

Unused make‑up credits expire 30 days after the end of the subscription.

If you can no longer attend lessons, you may transfer your subscription to an immediate family member (subject to the Platform’s approval).

Amadeus Arts Center reserves the right to terminate a Client’s enrollment at any time; in such a case, fees already paid for lessons not yet provided will be refunded on a pro‑rata basis.

5. USE OF IMAGES (PHOTOS / VIDEOS)

By enrolling, you may consent to the Platform Amadeus Arts Center capturing and using photos/videos taken during music lessons for its communication materials (website, social media, posters, etc.) by checking the corresponding box.

If you do not wish to authorize this use, simply inform us in writing; we will keep your refusal on file.

6. COMMUNICATIONS

  • All administrative requests (schedule changes, billing questions, absences, etc.) must be sent to the Platform by email at: info@amadeusartscenter.com
  • Teachers do not directly handle these matters (schedule changes, payments, termination, etc.).

You may receive notifications (lesson reminders, announcements, newsletters, SMS) related to your lessons.

7. DISCLAIMER

Participation in in‑person or online music lessons involves certain inherent risks (handling instruments, fatigue, etc.).
By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge that you assume these risks and agree to hold Amadeus Arts Center, its officers, employees and collaborators harmless from any claim in the event of injury or damage occurring in the normal and reasonable course of music lessons, subject to the limits provided by applicable laws in Québec.

8. CHANGES TO POLICIES

The Platform may update these Terms from time to time in order to better serve its clients. The most recent version will always be available on the website.

9. ACCEPTANCE

These Terms come into force and are deemed accepted upon the Client’s enrollment or continuation of lessons after they have been communicated.

For any questions regarding these policies, please write to us at : info@amadeusartscenter.com
